  1. May we have the description updated (the top paragraph) to also include native EET support? Thankee!
  2. As I've noticed when contacting mod authors about supporting their old mods, the responses I've gotten have been silence or, in effect, "Why are you asking me about my old work? Go ahead!" Jastey would seemingly approve of all these mods being updated to EET by third parties for the sake of compatibility and community. All original authors are given credit and the ability to opt out. As Saradas mentioned in the link below, he gave his permission for people in general to do these maintenance tweaks. Enjoy! @Gwendolyne Neera Expansion's GitHub notes have TODO on making the mod EET compatible. I assume formal EET compatibility is coming soon. @K4thos How are you handling DLC Merger since that's meant to be installed first regardless of EET? Thankee!
  3. In this mod, what're the final stats of a Robe of Vecna?
  4. Is EET (or lack of EET support) for at least some of the mods at fault?
  5. What should we eagerly expect in a near-term release?
  6. To clarify, I didn't intend to imply that certain authors like Lava were against EET compatibility (and Lava has outsourced EET compatibility of some of his mods like Quayle BG2EE), but that, like Cahir said, this was not the mod author's preferred play style.
  7. At present, I am unsure how I feel about these proposed changes. For the near-term, our family is sticking with game version 2.5 due to EEex among other things, but in the future, we may eventually update to 2.6.x or later. I already have this mod list which I want updated to EET - and for spell-heavy mods, also updated to use Olvyn's Spell Tool, but that's tangential. For the future, if adding mods to the mod list/mod wad before running EET is wise, include that as an official option and mentioned properly in the documentation. I'm very interested in having reliable, easy ways to convert mods to EE and EET compatibility, especially if such can be easily automated! I'm a big fan of EET and I would prefer all mods for the Baldur's Gate saga have an EET version, but I know certain mod authors (like Lava) didn't use it due to personal preference and, thus, haven't coded for it. I also know that certain authors (like Lassal) have heavily used EET and coded all their released mods for it. Thankee!
  8. In the EET Mod Compatibility thread, k4thos wrote this below text. I moved it here for visibility and ease of discussion.
  9. Thankee, k4thos! EEex is a notable reason I want our next game to remain 2.5.
  10. @Xazarlar You're correct on that point. I misread it. Thankee!
  11. Lore from Learning is EET compatible as its author (CamDawg) explicitly mentioned in this linked thread.
  12. @jastey I checked the G3 news section and Spellhold Studios GitHub for entries not already on the list that claimed EET compatibility. The Longer Road was confirmed EET compatible via a private message from Austin - a mod maintainer - to me.
  13. @jastey Is Fonick linked above also EET compatible since the other 2 linked mods are?
  14. Pweath add these to the EET compatibility list! (The list was at least mostly updated as of 2019. Newer mods weren't reliably added to the list.) Adventures in Papperland is EET compatible since its latest release and puts The Beatles (with an A!) in BG2! Keyring: A Mod for the Orderly is EET compatible since v7. Solaufein Flirt Pack is EET compatible since 1.2. Ascalon's Braegar is now in English and German! (Remove the note about this mod not yet being fully in English.) Thankee!
  15. Just as the title says. I want to ensure I have the right files. Thankee!
  16. @Glam Vrock Greetings, Glam! It's been months - maybe a year - since I recall seeing you on this board. What's happening mod-wise? Thankee!
  17. Just as the title says. I didn't see anything specifically for this in version 2.2. If the mod isn't compatible, may we get EET compatibility in a near-term release? Thankee!
  18. As of a few days ago, k4thos returned to us with news: IWD-in-EET is partially done, but there's the question of how best to implement IWD content in EET. The original scope involved IWD1 and 2 using EEex to do something to convert this mod - and maybe all of EET - to use some version of D&D 3.x rules. With EE game version 2.6.x released that made EEex incompatible due to 2.6's new 64 bit architecture, the original plan will no longer work. (EEex is seemingly being totally rewritten to work on 2.6, but its public release date as of this writing is TBA.) Many people - including my family and me - still want to experience IWD-in-EET in some form! For me, the D&D 3.x rules are optional: I most want the ability to play the games in EET's engine and I've heard others most want this as well. Plot-wise, the IWD1 & 2 disparate timelines have already been handled by whoever's written for this game. Remember, the IWD game series never starred its plot: It was focused on fights with the occasional puzzle or dialog. What say you? Thankee!

    Progress

@K4thos With tipun's IWD in EET and this IWD2 Enhanced Edition mod, we seem close to having everything working properly together. This just requires the proper work to combine stuff and ensure compatibility. There's also Holic's DnD 3.5 Rules in BG:EE. It doesn't do a total system change, but approximates certain things to feel more like 3E.

@K4thos Thankee for replying and quoting me! Alleluia! I fully agree that resource pooling regarding this mod seems wise. I'm all for skipping the 3e mechanics if it means we get the IWD1 & 2 adventures in EET. There are plenty of talented modders that would likely want to work on this prestigious project were it opened to more people. @argent77, @jastey, @Austin and others may want to join.
  21. @morpheus562 More specifically, what new spells are affected by your scripts?
  22. What game version did you use? If you play 2.6.x, did you use the latest fan patch of EET to make EET work?
