Dragonscale Shield's description or ability should be more clear. The description states that the item is capable of "absorbing and nullifying shock waves of any kind of source" which implies it should make Wing Buffet etc. completely ineffective on the user. The shield protects against the knockback, but does not protect against the damage or the unconsciousness effect. I imagine this is working as intended, which is fine, but the description should be changed. Personally I'm not so against a shield that grants complete immunity to the force abilities. If the intention is for complete immunity to shock waves, then it doens't work.

Force Absorbing: wielder is immune to everything, magical and otherwise, that pushes him away

The shield only makes the wearer immune to everything that pushes him away not down. And that works just fine as you say. To achieve a complete immunity agains dragons wing buffet attacks, you need to equip the Dragon Helmet too, because it grants immunity to sleep and unconsciousness. The description is just fine in my opinion.

One question:

What is about all the Rod's? Is there any chance that they get revised too, like Rod of Smiting? Some of them are really underpowerd (the terror one) and others really overpowered (resurrection (+100% heal Oo), reversal (breach would be enough I think...). At least, I would love to see a description update, because they don't fit the IR standart (their descriptions look kinda ugly xD). Rod of Lordly Might has some nice potential for an interesting weapon (universal) to help in low - mid game, maybe move it to an earlier place? The three weapons it can transform to have also potential for some more cool effects (and nicer bams).

Hi

I've got Joluv in both CC and at Ribalds place.

I think I remember IR3 messing with that, but couldn't find anything clear in the forums.

And I assume that includes the component from BG2 Tweak Pack also? Nice, that I don't have to install those.

Item Pack also adds Joluv to the Copper Coronet if the main component is installed (last official patch adds Deidre but not him).

Could you make that optional?

There is yet another extra Cleric's staff +3, this time in Spellhold, in a jar in the southern wing of the dungeon.

I feel the Sahaugin shop should not buy anything, or at the least not have a slight price premium when selling.

Cloak of Mirroring still on the Sahaugin Priestess? I thought this was supposed to be moved to the Demilich in Watcher's Keep. If not there, the Cloak should be moved to some powerful creature late in the game.

I thought we moved it, but we didn't. It surely needs to be moved later on, at least chapter 6 if not ToB, but I really dislike SCS allocation (WK's demi-lich), because a floating skull with a mantle is ridiculous imo.

Ardanis suggests to move it to Irenicus (the tree version, not the hell one), and I kinda like the challenge increase it would provide. My only complain is that you'd retrieve it in hell rather than right away on irenicus corpse. The only other boss like characters who could wear it are either Illasera or Vongoethe imo (Amkethran's lich), else we could make it an expensive "must buy" late game item, nut it's probably a shame to not use it to increae the challenge of a difficult encounter.

What do you think? Any better suggestion?

I just reloaded and Ixil's spear still doesn't have pin and now the extra damage isn't being applied either. It does show that a save roll is being made, it just doesn't do anything when the save is failed.
I've changed Hold Creature's IDS parameter for the next hotfixes and it should work fine, but damage output really seems fine in my install. Could it be that your target just happen to be immune to this effect (e.g. skeleton, incorporeal, etc.)?

Anyway, here it is if you want to try it out. Just put it in the override.

I'd rather not, since Joluv is the recipient for a handful of the main component's new items, and I don't want to create a dependency to BG2 Tweaks, SCSII, or IR just for that.

Maybe Demi can add a Destroy Self check or something for him if Item Pack is installed? I don't know how IR plans to adress this issue --also related to BG2 Tweaks and SCSII-- in the next release, current ReadMe doesn't mention anything, neither the fact he's moved nor compatibility-wise.

In any case, Shaitan, if you know you're going to have IR installed, you can manually edit Item Pack's .tp2 and delete these lines before installing:

// Spawn Joluv in the Copper Coronet (latest patch adds Deirdre but not him)
EXTEND_BOTTOM ~AR0406.bcs~ ~Item_Pack/Scripts/d1AR0406.baf~
COMPILE ~Item_Pack/Scripts/d1AR0406.baf~

That will prevent Joluv from spawning in the Copper Coronet, assuming you don't have BG2 Tweaks' or SCSII's similar component.
