Version 24(BETA) of Sword Coast Stratagems released

This is all very helpful, thanks. (v22 reversed the default install order of the demon and mage components; that's probably what's brought the bug to light.)

No problem. Those cambion mages also got instant, uninterruptable casting like a regular demon (though not the scripting to use it) which seems a bit OP for a 20th level fighter/mage...

I don't mean to insult your work but the code to build spells and items on the fly seems a bit buggy:

*DW#WEB.spl used by giant spiders doesn't allow a saving throw

*DW#MWEB.spl (vortex spiders) allows a saving throw of almost every kind???

*DW#HYPNO.spl works like the regular vampire charm (it doesn't cause short duration feeblemindedness)

*Rats summoned by vampires don't have a "weapon" to attack with

*The attacks of level draining creatures like vamps modify EXTRAPROFICIENCY20 but this effect has a power level of 4 (I noticed it bounces of spell turning etc.)

Is it worth building the new web, vampire etc. spells with Weidu rather than just prepackaging them? They are pretty simple with only one level header etc. If you're busy I could do it...

No insult taken! But trust me, it's easier (at least the way I work) to build these things on the fly wherever possible - I'm just as capable of making errors when using prepackaged things and I much prefer to have an explicit record of what is and isn't being done. These are the kind of errors I basically expected to find when I did the code-merge - it's why we're still in beta.

Here my report about my current BG1 playthrough :

An small incompatibiliy with BG respawn :

http://www.shsforums...ion-111/page-18

After come back from Candlekeep, the flaming fist is chasing you in baldur's gate. I think the better calls for help component make the flaming fist soldiers to shout help and unfortunately all civils around become hostiles.

doppelgangers : many doppelgangersare not affected by your componenent. Especially in Seven Sun building, candlekeep area, candlekeep library and in Candlekeep underground.

Ogremage : it looks like they react more like pure mage than fighters/mage. They don't try to attack in melee ofen and tend to flee the fight.

Not sure about it, but I wonder if archers are sripted to use only their best magical arrows before non magical arrows.

The Ulcaster Vampire wolf is no more upgraded as in previous SCS.

It looks like Bassilus destroy his undead flunkies quickly at the begining of the fight. (surely with his undead ability). Or maybe because I said the right thing to him?. Sorry I don't remember but surely , the undead die quicly.

I have a crash in AR8801

Erhm, did you fight back ? As in, kill a soldier ? The original concept was to flee and hmm, the civilians should actually have a script that turns them non hostile after the incident is finished (don't know if the SCS adds one, but it should, or actually the BGT should...).

Happened to me as well - but in a different situation. A mage in Baldur's Gate exited a buliding (was hostile), upon attacking him citizens went hostile. Same thing in Ulgoth's Beard (mage-werewolves).

If you say the correct lines, a few will die. In vanilla, they'd all crumble.

Yeah, me too. You'll get them at WK level 4 Githyanki Lair, Crooked Crane inn and Nalia's Keep outside. Restoring the areas from backup within SCS folder prevents those crashes.

I remember that all squeletons have been cramble instantaneously.

Some others observation :

1 - Too bad I have deleted all my saves and I cannot check it again but I don't think I have seen Daevorn using his original teleport-around script. Maybe I have been lucky also but he killed the 2 battle horror with cone of cold.

2- Relocated bounty hunters : I haven't meet the 5 relocated ogre mages (supposed to be located in front of candlekeep at chapter 6)

3- the two others groups of bounty hunters (dwarfs and amazons) have been encounter together, at the same time in a radom encounter area. ( it was a nice fight though)

3- Karoug, baresh, sellaad and Kaishas drop the ring of free action.

4- Not a bug but just my humble opinion about something that I think make BG1 very easy : in comparaison to BG2, we can find in Baldur's gate 1 a large amount of wands (and potions in a lesser extend) .BG2 is too much generous about magical ammunitions but you already made a component for it.

I end up my BG1 game with 25 wands ( I mean I have used them a lot but I still have 25 wands without buying one ! Many mages drops wands ofen loaded at full charge or beyond the standard maximum.

==> especially with item revisons, when you find a wand of frost or paralyzation in a commoner desk loaded with 30 charges ,(price is supposed to be 30 000 Po for an item like that with item revisions!) then, the game become very easy.

Don't forget than wands can be used on invisible opponents. (nothing can be done to fix this?)

The wands we can found on enemy or in some commoner drawer should be loaded with a small amount of charges. (3 ou 4) and surely not exceed the maximum of charges allowed. With Item revisons, all wands have at maximum 10 charges, but I think it's the same in vanilla? If we can find a wand with more than 10 charges, it shoud be noted as a bug.

Maybe It's just me but I found that BG1 is also very generous about potions.

Btw, here my weidu :

Don't forget than wands can be used on invisible opponents. (nothing can be done to fix this?)

It can (in ToBEx), but I'm not very inclined to. I'm happy that there are some options available to bypass II.

If we can find a wand with more than 10 charges, it shoud be noted as a bug.

Why? There's no reason to think it's unintentional.

Yes, maybe you are right.

Nervermind , I believe that wands are too much powerfull in BG1 with IR installed. But I will speak more about it on IR forum ;)
