A previous version was BG1VARFIX.EXE (without versioning). I don't know if thats the most current version.

By now I'm getting really worried. It would be great if someone in the know could drop by and at least confirm that a backup exists - not just for the mod files, but for all the forum content.

I'm trying to hunt down the exe for FlameWing's Multikit mod.

I checked the IEGMC and the list of archived downloads that argent77 posted, but I couldn't find any entries for that particular mod. I'm also aware of the trick where you download the weidu.exe and rename it was whatever setup.exe you need. I tried that and it worked to install the multikit mod, but I couldn't install any other mods afterwards. They would get hung up on some sort of version check. (I apologize that I can't be more specific than that. My technical skills are abysmal. I couldn't even figure out how to run Project Infinity so I mod my games through a laborious process of trial and error that skews heavily towards error.)

Does anyone happen to have that file? I think it would be named setup-m7multikit.exe if that helps.

It's simply that one or more of your Setup-weidu.exe are not up to date with the other mods, so weidu tries to update them with each mod installation and this can be very time consuming or fail.

You need to check which ones need to be modified, weidu provides information in the DOS prompt window.
