Mod Compatibility List for EET

I'm just trying to not getting lost between Enhanced Editions, EET, EET patches and BigWorld fixpack with zero modding skills.

Another one:
There is the item CMSTQ04.itm in _copy/items in BWfixes for DarkHorizonsBGEE. When i look at the item using NI, the only differences, which i could find to the original one, are the messed up General Name:"Maybe i will just rest" and Description: "The Barghest" of the item which is supposed to be the fix.

Btw, is there a tool which can show me the differences between .itm or .cre files?

A question to TDD:

I do see recent commits for TDDz and for BWFixpack TDD. So installation for EET is TDD v1.14 -> BWFixpack -> TDDz?

The sequence should still be TDD v114 > TDDz (The references in the fixpack do not comply to EET).

However the fix for DD0300CT (the newest commits to fixpack) should be taken into account by TDDz, because it is missing here. (The issue will be that if you enter a building during the pirate raid on the docks during one of theTDD plots and come out of the building again, you will be in the *normal* area, not the quest one and thus break the quest. The fix closes all the doors in the area to prevent it - but if you know the issue, just avoid doing it, you normally have no need to go into any building at this time.)

Near Infinity shows those and all other files of the game in detail (+ giving you ability to correct them in your game without need to re-install for every issue)

I'm not sure about the name/description. Those are string references (effectively they point to line numbers in dialog.tlk). Would have to look at how the mod installs this item. Ideally it overwrites the name and description field of the item at install time to make sure the strings are correct.

 

And yes, to apply this fix on EET you'd have to run BWFixpack before installing the mod. The status of BWFixpack with respect to EET mods is somewhat fluid. Some fixes apply, many do not. This will be addressed soon.

@Corsymyr, this part of code is broken:

These offsets are used for other things and does not accept strref. I'm supprised that the store work in game when NI can't even open it.

Do i need to do something?

I've updated BWFixpack for this issue. Removed KTStore invalid offsets from the tp2 installer.

 

However, EET directly patches this issue by replacing the KTStore.sto file during the EET installation, so it makes no real difference for EET installs whether or not you apply the Fixpack for this mod. It will still help non-EET installs, so it was worth adding. I'm not 100% sure if the EET replacement displays a correct name when you access the store in-game, but that's cosmetic. The EET replacement for the store file sets the "store name" string reference to -1 (none), so it should be fine, it just won't show the author's originally intended store name text at the top.

Did you patch the mod before installing?

Because the portrait folder in EET is not in the game directory but in your user/documents/Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition Trilogy folder that also has your saves etc. Looks like UB.tp2 points to the wrong place.

I was looking a bit into Tower of Deception BWFix. First of all the version 4.0.0 provides BG2EE support but no fixes are incorporated.

There are fixes that seem appropriate for the EET setup, like wrong number of statements in an OR block (although i have no idea what consequences could occur) or "va#pand1"->"va#panda" but i have no idea about this:

SpellCastInnate([GOODCUTOFF],HELM_TRUE_SIGHT) -> SpellCast([GOODCUTOFF],HELM_TRUE_SIGHT)

SpellCastInnate([GOODCUTOFF],INQUIS_TRUE_SIGHT) ->SpellCast([GOODCUTOFF],INQUIS_TRUE_SIGHT)

Can someone help?

In va'telep.bcs "va#pand1"->"va#panda" is missing, although...it destroys a creature in an area you are teleported away from (and you are not supposed to ever revisit again, so what?).

 

You need to tell, which files contain the OR error (the consequences - if there are - depend on whether in OR(x) the x is too high or too low)
