EET v13.4 released

In BG2626, i was expecting reaching Chapter 7.

 

Hey, of course! I remember having the very same bug in one of my runs of EET...

Here is the post : http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=27796&p=242637 (and below is the solution that still works).

 

But, I've read here that few peoples already did full runs, so my question is : why am I the only one to have this bug ?

Sounds like some mod is meesing up with Teth variable. Use this weidu code and upload whole 'Teth/upload' directory

before I apply the fix (by adding Explore()) or after ?

nevermind, if adding Explore() fixes the issue than the problem is caused by this:

IF

this change is made by tweak code:

it's unrelated to EET and the same thing would happen on vanilla BG:EE. This should be reported in Tweaks Anthology topic linking to this post.

One may ask why the tweak does such a thing anyway - why remove Explore() from Candlekeep where PC lived and grew up? He/she is supposed to know the area.

You could also ask does the player know the area ? They have spent zero seconds in it at the start of the game, hence the "start". :devlook::jump:

YES the player knows the area at this point in the game - YOU do not know what area BG2626 is. Can you not stop commenting on a game version (EET) you have no idea about?

Krghm, it's not like there's a humongous map in a thread called "EET Worldmap / Areas reference" in this forum that has the occupational answer...

But yeah, the player at the start of the game has no idea where they are, or what they have seen as they have not seen a thing, even if they have eidetic memory, it's a memory they do not have. This is why the map has not been revealed. There, try to overcome that.

For those not familiar with the game yet:

BG2626 is just the chapter 6 version of BG2600 where PC spend all life until the day (s)he leaves from there with Gorion...etc

Some minor feedback on the new confirmation prompt for the BG1 detection.

 

This isn't really all that helpful for people with multiple BG1 installations:

By the way, where can I get that external mod for the alternate GUI and does it also contain the "import voice sets from IWD" feature (which is also missing from the 7.1 EET_END) (nvm. that's part of EET_Tweaks)?

double period in windows path (..) means "Parent Directory" (1 directory above current one). If no other default path is found the installer checks Parent Directory/Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition and Parent Directory/00806

The message prints exactly what is storred in bgee_dir variable that is used during whole installation.

Thank you for the info.

The Windows thing probably seems trivial for someone with in-depth programming knowledge but I assure you to people like me this is totally new information. :)
