Chitown Willie
I just experienced the same behavior as tomasz86 with Tarnesh. Once he went through his Mirror Image/Horror/Magic Missile collection, he literally just stood there and did nothing. Xzar went right up, engaged in melee, and chopped away with his dagger. Guest akselstrong
I am also experiencing this behaviour with all mages. Once they go through their offensive spells they stand and don't move or attack they just rebuff their defensives. Link to comment
subtledoctor
Very quick shout-out to a solution that doesn’t require overhauling enemy AI: use Tome & Blood’s “level 1 cantrips” to make 1st-level spells usable at will. Then enemy mages (and you) will never lack something useful to cast. Link to comment

According to subtledoctor's readme, it hasn't been tested in non-EE game, but it should work. You can test it and then if it doesn't work, just remove it by uninstalling the component and start a new campaign. Edited January 10, 2021 by Jarno Mikkola Link to comment
Bartimaeus
@DavidW Small typo in stratagems\caster_shared\clericmage\ssl\easy.ssl on line 32: the timer specified says "east_antimagic" instead of "easy_antimagic". I did a mass search of all files in the stratagems folder via Notepad++ to see if any other kind of "east_" typo existed, and I did not see any - this was the lone occurrence. Chitown Willie
Noticed a few things about Kobolds with 33.4: Kobold Shamans will only cast Mirror Image - and then engage in melee. Kobold Guards and Kobold Shamans have no Weapon Proficiencies (Effects in NI) Edited March 17, 2021 by Chitown Willie Link to comment

Those only apply to non party members, from what I read a long time ago. Link to comment
Chitown Willie
Ah, ok - I see it: But then why were Kobold Commandos coded with them? Link to comment

Don't know... check it's class, is it a fighter/paladin/ranger or similar, as in not goblin ? SCS could add in the weapon proffs based on that fact. Link to comment
Salk
Has anyone individuated the new piece of code in v33.7 affecting the wizards AI and causing the weird behavior reported by tomasz86 and Chitown Willie? Rather than completely roll back to using an older version of SCS, it would be desirable to swap that particular piece of code. Link to comment

xiaoleiwen
I didn't experience this weird mage behaviour in BG2 with 33.7, probably because they never finish their spells.. I guess it is recommended to use 33.4 for bg1 now? Link to comment
