  1. I too was concerned that the Black Pits's store inventories would be awkward to give a BG party. An Improved Cloak of Protection is normally available along with Elan Garaq's shop inventory! However, I do like how BP has a single vendor that sells most or all BG1EE scrolls. Perhaps treat a buncha BP gear like Drow gear in that it's quickly destroyed post-BP for balance reasons. Note that the highest-end stuff normally costs 20K+ per item and at that price I want to be able to keep my gains! Careful about removing gear from the party upon entering BP since that might bug the game! Should there be a minimum level or EXP requirement to enter BP? Should fights be repeatable for EXP & cash? If Baeloth is level drained at the end of BP, should the party also lose EXP? I don't like it at all but doing level scaling of fights might be the best way to handle them. We assume people saved before entering, right? (Also, remember that there are plenty of methods in vanilla BG1EE that allow for quick leveling!) Should parties upon winning the BP area be forced out? Can they return and still buy stuff? Would the vendors be relocated somewhere else in the BG world like BG city or the carnival?
  2. I also like the notion of the Black Pits in EET that doesn't require the Sandrah Saga to play!
  3. @subtledoctor I had to manually visit translate.google.com and have it translate webpages, but this is the result you sought.
  4. What say you to expanding functionality to make casting Warlock invocations - including Eldritch Blast of various shapes - easy?
  5. My preferred method for Project Infinity install orders has been copying the text log in the bottom right to a Google Doc then pasting from there and setting that install order.
  6. @Bubb Does this work with Unearthed Arcana mods with 2 spell lists like Druid/Sor or Paladin/Mage? How does this mod change the Cleric/Ranger's spell list's presentation? Thankee!
  7. That can work. However, what about just removing the early game cap on weapon proficiencies?
  8. How important is the EE Fixpack and how does it relate to the EET Fixpack? Thankee!
  9. Off-hand, I'm unsure of how IWD 1 & 2's lore interacts with the BG campaign, I don't recall much IWD-related plot beyond "go here and find/fight something." I'm OK with just ignoring/forgiving lore inconsistencies. (I also never read much of D&D's literature outside of rulebooks, meaning I can't fairly comment on how Salvatore's Drizzt interacted with the IWD game series, for example.) As for the doubly-named fiend, simulacrum exists in D&D. Maybe there's another fiend with his name. (Even in Bible times, 'Mary' and 'Joseph' weren't unique names: Just look at Mary, the mother of Jesus and Mary of Bethany as well as Joseph the stepfather of Jesus and Joseph of Aramathea who gave his tomb to Jesus for His burial.) Beyond this, IWD 1 & 2 just didn't seem to interact much with the rest of Faerun. They had no BG city nor Athkatla where citizens from across the Sword Coast or greater Faerun gathered, and it's understandable when the Icewind Dale region is basically fantasy Alaska or Iceland. I also mentioned tipun's versions of IWD1 & 2 in EET because it's more content available in the same game and this way more people can appreciate them, and, if they also want, mod for them. For people of this board, it should be fairly obvious that IWD1 & 2 didn't have BG1 & 2 style companions and were intentionally focused on combat much moreso than RP or story. Here's a chance for Minsc, Edwin, Garrick, Haer'Dalis, and so on to react to the frozen north in your mod if you choose. One of my lamentations of many years ago was that the BG1 game was too small: It had a good start of an open world but too little of it. BG2 increased the level cap, but by default, it wasn't connected with BG1 nor SoD. These were distinct campaigns/modules/games with an intentionally connecting story but which needed mods to make them into a single, bigger world. I'm glad EET was released as a platform for modding since it meant the world felt more like a world to me instead of disjointed sections. Thankee!
  10. Greetings, all! tipun's Icewind Dale in EET (IWD in EET) has been available for years now and yet I've barely heard anyone discuss it around here. (This linked post contains references to Roxanne, but this isn't her mod. She merely commented on some things.) While I'm not sure off hand how finished this IWD in EET version is, it's publicly available and this seems like a handy opportunity for anyone into IWD modding to also develop or/and adapt their mods for this platform. What say you? Thankee!
  11. What about adding disease (with a save vs. death to negate) as an on-hit or proximity effect?
  12. Thankee for your periodic status updates!
  13. Balance in BG mods, especially with so many available, seemed like a tricky subject. BG and EET are largely open world games, meaning even in vanilla, there are plenty of times when you could intentionally or accidentally be way weaker or stronger than originally intended while still possibly winning. Balance is also subjective, because some people want to win slowly (high challenge) and some people want to win quickly (low challenge).
  14. Is there a misuse of GAME_IS versus GAME_INCLUDES regarding SoD?
  15. There's also a Divinity: Original Sin II reference of "Death Fog," but there's already a similar BG series spell name to that.
  16. @Arkie Once you're done with your current Vlad mod overhaul, what say you to next adding formal EET compatibility to the Drizzt Saga? Doing so would also make it more likely to be compatible with future BG/EET versions. Thankee!
  17. Since you clearly had greater plans for this Misc. mod and loved it enough to update it to its current state and you also have greater plans for it and you seemed to finish and release Animate Dead Now because I reminded you that certain people still like your mods and you and want your mods and you to succeed, what say you to finishing and releasing this Adventurer's Miscellany mod? The stuff in your Misc. mod seemed intended to be flavorful and practical in ways that weren't just for combat. Regardless, thankee for your modding, temnix! On behalf of your fans, I appreciate your modding efforts and want your mods to be the best they can be, including released with EET compatibility!
  18. Can you detect the problem and prevent or fix it in the mod as prudent?
  19. Since Animate Dead Now is, as you said, EET compatible, I request you post a link to Animate Dead Now in this thread about EET compatible mods so it's added to the list. The list maintainers will take the input more seriously if it's mentioned by the mod author which is why I requested you do it.
  20. Why limit Reckoning to creatures of 6HD at most?
  21. From my present understanding, @subtledoctor adapted WTP Familiars into a component for his Tome & Blood mod and WTP Familiars's author became inactive.
  22. Greetings, all! Does Melf's Acid Arrow check spell resistance? In vanilla it didn't, but the latest documentation I read was ambiguous. Thankee!
