: Vynd Teams Up with Littlun, Moidre, Dave, and Flara in Glam's NPC Pack!

Remember Vynd, the lovable drow assassin NPC for Baldur's Gate 1? He made some friends. We don't know how it happened either, but they're ready to set aside at least a few of their differences and join your party.

Glam's NPC Pack adds five colourful new characters to Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition, Tutu, BGT, and EET. Use them standalone with your favourites from the original BG cast, or recruit them all at once; the choice is yours!

: G3 Welcomes Yoshimo's Remorse

We are happy to announce that Yoshimo's Remorse by Lava Del'Vortel and jmaeq is now available at Gibberlings Three.

Was the event at the Asylum truly the ending to Yoshimo's adventures with the Bhaalspawn? Is there simply no way to redeem himself?

Yoshimo's Remorse is a mod for BG2:ToB that makes Yoshimo a playable character in Throne of Bhaal. However, he is not what you expect him to be... Prepare yourself for new adventures and talks with the infamous bounty hunter, a tormented soul that was left with nothing but regrets. Listen to him as this may be his last chance to find peace.

: Sword Coast Stratagems v32 released

Sword Coast Stratagems is a collection of interconnected mini-mods for Baldur's Gate (on the BGT/BGTUTU/BGEE versions) and Baldur's Gate II. It is primarily a tactical and AI-enhancement mod: the idea is to make the game's combat more interesting, tactically challenging, and realistic by more effective use of, and choices of, creatures' abilities. It also contains a few rule tweaks and ease-of-use features.

Version 32 is a major revision (the largest since the old 'SCS' and 'SCSII' mods were merged). Highlights include a new integrated difficulty-control system, inclusion of the Icewind Dale spell system, substantial revision of spellcaster AI, six new components, much fuller compatibility with the Spell Revisions mod, some streamlining of the mod's overall structure, and a major decrease in installation time.

Grab it direct here. You can also visit the extensive project pages, readme, or SCS forum for more information.

: Ascension v2.0 released

Version 2.0 of the Ascension mod is now available (and support for Ascension is now hosted at G3).

Ascension is a classic mod that makes major changes to Throne of Bhaal, completely rewriting the final chapter. This version of Ascension is coded by DavidW (author of Sword Coast Stratagems and Wheels of Prophecy), updating and modernizing the code and fixing many bugs while endeavoring to remain extremely faithful to the content of the original. (Many thanks to Cuv, Wesley Weimer and AlienQuake for making this all possible.)

More information about the mod is available in its readme or on its project pages. You can download the mod or come join us on the forums to discuss it.

: Tweaks Anthology v9 Released

The Tweaks Anthology is a WeiDU compilation of fixes, cosmetic changes, and tweaks that will run on every Infinity Engine game, from the original Planescape:Torment, through the Icewind Dale and Baldur's Gate series, and the new Enhanced Editions of the games. The successor to BG2 Tweaks and several other tweak packs, some of these were fan requests, others are needed fixes, and others simply make dealing with the more irritating aspects of the game engine easier. Each component can be installed separately so the player can pick and choose only which ones they wish to install.

Version 9 features a new component thanks to argent77, an updated Russian translation from saigon1983, and some bug fixes; the new release is available from the downloads section. Come join us on the forums or Discord or learn more about the mod on the project page and readme.

: Wheels of Prophecy v8 released

The Wheels of Prophecy is a mod for Baldur's Gate II and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition by DavidW, author of Sword Coast Stratagems, adding new content, dialog and roleplaying options to the Throne of Bhaal expansion. It makes only minor changes to the main storyline but allows the player to interact with that storyline in a much more non-linear way. Version 8 is a maintenance release, fixing a bug on Enhanced-Edition installs and updating some behind-the-scenes resources. More information about the mod is available in the readme or on its project page. You can download the mod or come and join us on the forums.

: G3: Amber v5 Released

Amber is a tiefling rogue of a chaotic good alignment, possessed of a few special abilities. Despite being fairly intelligent, she can at times be rather blunt when communicating with other people. This trait rarely earns her friends among the people she meets, and the feeling of initial dislike is usually mutual. But underneath her prickly manners, she has a good heart and is prepared to go to great lengths to help those who she sees to be weak and in need of aid. Version 5 adds native EET compatibility and a ton of bugfixes.

Learn more about Amber on the project page or readme, or download it directly. You can also join us on the forums or Discord.

: v6 of Angelo Now Available

G3 is pleased to announce the release of Version 6 of Angelo.  This Baldur's Gate II mod adds Angelo Dosan, the fighter-turned-mage who served as your brother's henchman in Baldur's Gate. You may remember that he sentenced you to death and fought against you in the Undercity, and if you were lucky enough to mine the content, you may remember that he is Shar-Teel's father. Most likely he didn't survive your game, but people in this world seem to have a knack for not staying dead. Version 6 brings native EET compatibility to the mod, numerous bug fixes and optimizations, and item description corrections on EE games. You can learn more about the mod on the project page or the forums . The mod download can be found in the download center.

: v2 of The Beaurin Legacy Now Available

: v3 of Level One NPCs Available

Nythrun's mod derives from Gebhart Blucher's Alternate BG2 NPCs (lvl1npcs.zip). Her massive opus of "allow player choice" allows you to start any of the joinable NPCs from BG and BG2 as level one characters with excess experience points. When they join your party, you can level them up and choose their skills. Level 1 NPCs expands on Blucher's original concept by allowing players to assign any previously installed kit/class - default or customized - onto any default (and many mod-added joinable) NPCs from both BG1 and BG2 games. The mod also allows players to change the NPC's skills and weapon proficiencies, individually tweak stats, and much, much more... Khalid the Fighter/Painbearer of Ilmater, Mazzy the Paladin, Jaheira the Kensai, and Valygar the Wizard Slayer are just a few examples.  Version 3 fixes an issue that prevented Joinable NPCs more closely match the PC's experience from installing on BGEE games. The full changelog can be found in the complete readme. You can also visit the forumproject page, or you can grab the mod from the downloads page.

: More Portraits! Ace's Enchanters Portrait Pack Now Available at G3

@theacefes is excited to share her new Enchanters Portrait Pack with everybody.  These 8 portraits are by the talented Christine Leonardi and are from the character art of the Enchanters book series. They have been resized and packaged to work with most Infinity Engine games, including the Enhanced Editions. You can check out the preview or just head over to the downloads.

: G3 Announces Universal Portrait Packs Plus New Portrait Pack

As part of the migration, one big item on my to-do list was to revamp the download center. One of biggest issues I noticed was just how out-of-date the portrait packs were--several did not work on the EEs, and some didn't even have Linux versions. One thing led to another and before long I was building all-new versions for all of the portrait packs.

In addition to making sure everything worked for the EEs and adding Linux versions, all portrait packs now universal. All portraits in all packs can be used as player portraits on all Infinity Engine games (excluding original and Enhanced Editions of PsT). In other words you can now use, say, Amaurea's BG2 Portraits for your next IWD2 party... or Siege of Dragonspear... or the original Icewind Dale. You get the idea. All portrait packs are available for perusal in the gallery, or grab the new versions from the download center.

With the code already written, it was also pretty easy to put together a brand new portrait mod: the Infinity Collection Portrait Pack. Every portrait from every Infinity Engine game--be it an NPC portrait or a player portrait--packaged together for use as player portraits for any game. All in all it adds over 150 new player portraits.
